It appears that some kind of deal has been reached between Jan Animations and Hasbro's Legal team, as Jan Animations has been allowed to re-upload some of his videos to YouTube, including the incomplete version of Don't Mine at Night, the animated Minecraft-themed parody of Katy Perry's song Last Friday Night.
While the the full song is available for download on ShadyVox Bandcamp, it is unknown why the full animated version is not available. In all likelihood, it might be because the animation features Hasbro copyrighted characters such as the image of Button Mash and Sweetie Bell, although this cannot be confirmed.
There has been no word on his other famous music video, Picture Perfect Pony.
@JanAnimation said: "So far, permission has been given to keep a few videos online. Not a total loss." ~Quill.
You have probably seen our earlier post regarding Hasbro's Cease and Desist letter that was sent to Jan Animations asking them to take down their pony content and, like us, are probably feeling rather sad at the loss of such great pieces of fan-works.
Mike Vogel, Hasbro Studios' VP of development posted this message up on his twitter as a response to the many people questioning the take down of Jan Animations. It's great to see that someone over at Hasbro is looking into the situation. It doesn't guarantee anything however it does at least offer hope for Jan as well as the fandom as a whole and could also potentially mean good news for future fan-works.
Nothing has been confirmed yet so it's very much a case of "watch this space" until further information has been released.

Based on the wording used, it is unknown whether this is actual paid employment, or volunteering.
On the same post, Mareplay has stated: "It is a position that my staff are paid for."
Creator of Button Mash and Picture Perfect Pony told to stop.
Jan Animation has been issued with a Cease and Desist notice from Hasbro's legal team.
The legal team says that while "Hasbro appreciates enthusiasm and support of it's many My Little Pony fans, it must protect it's intellectual property rights."
It also claims that Jan Animation's work "Creates a likelihood of dilution and of confusion with respect to Hasbro's authorisation or sponsorship of or association with your animation series."
@JanAnimation's said "I know a good amount of disappointment is going on right now. I can only thank you guys for the support and ask you to wait for more info." and "10days were given to contact the lawyer who sent the message regarding the situation. The removal had to be done after that."
A check of Jan Animation's YouTube Channel shows the videos have been taken down.
ShadyVox, the voice of Button Mash, made a short statement on Vocaroo saying that while they "would be in the right" of legal challenge under Fair Use, they didn't want to because "Jan has a lot of future wishes" and that "I (ShadyVox) don't want to ruin that for him."
He went on to say that they were going to release an "information video" and that "because of the circumstance, Button's Adventures is going to have to stop entirely."
Speaking on what they would do with what they had a legal allowance with, ShadyVox said: "We intend to make a new IP and go from there were we will be in full complete creative ownership about everything we do."
"We are going to take the scripts that we made for BA (Button's Adventure) and then adapt them so they work with this new IP."
He made it clear that they own the character Button but "not the style" and they were going to work on that.
